Q: What does it mean to Aggregate?
A: Electric Choice provides you with the opportunity to buy your electricity from a competitive supplier known as an Alternative Electric Supplier (AES). You can do this individually or join with others to buy as a group. The combining of customers to buy power as a group is known as "aggregation". An aggregator is regulated and licensed by the Maryland Public Service Commission to represent multiple electric customers and aggregate their respective electric loads to maximize the group's purchasing power.
